Dr. Anita lwanga

Dr. Anita Lwanga, MD, FACP — board-certified Internal Medicine specialist and Geriatrician in Regina, Saskatchewan. South End Medical provides referral-based consultant care for adults with complex and chronic medical conditions: high blood pressure, diabetes, heart failure, anemia, high cholesterol and cardiovascular/stroke risk, and other internal medicine concerns.

Appointments are focused, efficient, and evidence-based. New patients are seen by physician referral — if you have a family doctor or nurse practitioner, ask them to refer you to Dr. Lwanga. Referring clinicians: fax referrals to 306-565-3929.

Dr. Steven lwanga

Dr. S. Lwanga worked as a physician for 50 years and served the patients of Saskatchewan for over 30 years.

He was one of the first physicians to embrace Accuro EHR in Regina and transition transition a fully digital electronic medical platform by the end of 2004.

Dr. S. Lwanga recently decided to retire and focus on other interests including traveling and exercising.

Our Clinic: A History of Care

After working in East Africa as a pediatrician, Dr. S. Lwanga moved to Saskatchewan and completed training in General Internal Medicine. He began practicing in Regina in the 1990s and served patients in southern Saskatchewan for 30 years before retiring in 2025.

Dr. A. Lwanga did her undergraduate studies in Canada and medical training in Chicago. After several years practicing in upstate New York, she returned to Regina and joined Dr. S. Lwanga’s practice as he retired.
